Images disappeared after last update

In this case, you’ll need to get in touch with your site’s host, I’m afraid; WooCommerce does not have permission to delete content on its own. It is possible that you are reaching the space limit on your hosting plan and this is why things are being deleted automatically. This is something you should check with your hosting company; the images are completely missing from the server.

I have 10gb with my host website is only 4gb atm, I contacted them they say it’s a woocommerce issue as when the plugin is deactivated the issue goes,
I have tried deactivating all other plugins but issue is still there and even switching themes doesn’t resolve the problem!!

Images show Greyed in Media but if I click in to the image still grey, clicking edit and the image is actually there.

I had a discussion with my host whom say it is a Woocommerce related issue. If I deactivate the pugin the images are no longer greyed in the media library

This does seem like an odd issue between your hosts/server setup and WooCommerce. The image you are seeing here is the default placeholder image that comes in WooCommerce. It’s included in the plugin files itself (assets/images/placeholder) and by default set under the Products tab in your WooCommerce Settings.

If you are still having this issue, what is the URL of all of the effected images? It seems like it is pointing to a WooCommerce folder within the Uploads folder. I would initially expect the URL of your images to be uploaded in a date based folder.

there is others as well, Some of them are definitely pointing to the place holder folder while other say image cannot be loaded.

IOs this going to mean I’ll have to go in to CPanel and manually somehow relink the image up so they will load?
They were there at one point and somewhere along the line disappeared!!

@loganzendesign Were you at one time, or are you presently using Jetpack and the CDN for images included with it? It looks like the images are being served through Jetpack and it could be that the images don’t exist there.

Can you go into the Jetpack settings in your site, disconnect the site, then reconnect again to see if that corrects the issue?

I tried the jetpack as suggested but that hasn’t worked. Again I’m not getting notificatioons about this post even though it’s set on.
Could I send you log in info so you can take a look in the back end for me?

Sorry for the wait on this particular issue. I spent some time digging into this, as I am still seeing various images that are not showing, and some that are.

For example I am going to this page:

Where I see several images not showing. Checking one of the products:

I am seeing the image loaded from a iO.wp.com before anything else. I did a test debug through Jetpack and it appears to have passed so this is definitely something amiss with the way the server is passing images through. Go to this link and follow the steps there to turn off Asset CDN and Image CDN. Once this is confirmed off, refresh your pages and see if the images show back up.

Should they show back up, please deactivate, delete, and re-install the Jetpack plugin. Then, try reconnecting it to WordPress.com. This should redo everything and get it working, as it will ‘reconnect’ the CDN properly from that point.

Ok SO I tried deactivating Asset CDN and Image CDN but the images still don’t show up on the site,

I have left it deactivated for now.
