I added five images to my gallery; three are horizontal and two were vertical. In the gallery, I rotated the two vertical images so that they are horizontal. However, when I insert the gallery into my post, the two formerly vertical images appear sideways. I tried removing and adding the gallery again, and I cleared the gallery cache. Any other suggestions?

    Thanks!

    Hi @sdarnowsky,

Can you please let us know what display type are you using for your gallery?

I was using Basic Thumbnails. Maybe this is just a limitation of the free version? All the photos have to have the same orientation?

The same problem occurs with Basic Slideshow. On a related note, I although I’ve got Basic Slideshow set to Autoplay, it doesn’t fade from one photo to another, no matter what the transition speed or interval is.

And if I could request one feature, it would be to see the photos in the post while I’m writing it rather than having to click Done and then click Preview to see them.

    Thanks!

    Hi @sdarnowsky,

Can you please try to re-upload the image already rotated ( using any image viewer/editor software ) then verify again your gallery to see if that helps?

For the Autoplay problem, please verify your browser’s console to make sure that there aren’t any JS issues preventing the transition effect.

Thanks for the feature request – we will be happy to register it in our system

Thanks! Re-uploading the images did the trick!

As for the slideshow problem, I’m assuming JS means JavaScript. I’m not sure how to troubleshoot that. I’ve got Java version 8 update 221, which is the latest available. I’ll tinker with it some more and see if I can get it to work.
