• I cloned https://uxpa2023.org to https://uxpa2024.org. All images seem to have been duplicated to the new media library but do not display.

I may have WP Engine Large FS connected to this site, which stores all media files on Amazon S3 and moves them from their folders in the WordPress install. Maybe that could be the issue. So, how to resolve? If I download them from Amazon’s server, I should just add the month folders back via FTP? Is that correct?

  • I am having a similar issue. I cloned https://people.clas.ufl.edu/people-template/ to https://people.clas.ufl.edu/test-cloner-images-log/. The result is “blank” images in the destination site:

    Here is the log file.

I am also experiencing the same issue, for over a year, with my sites hosted on WPEngine.com.

    Hello,

Please advise if you are using WP Engine Large FS? The main issue with Large FS is its hard to copy over these files to a new site as they are all hosted and registered to the parent site on their S3 storage.

    Hello:

WPEngine has a back-end script that corrects the issue with media files on NS Cloned sites in a multisite environment.

From what I can tell, this issue arises when NS Cloner plugin is used and the media folder is non-standard filepath. For us, our media was stored in /wp-content/blogs.dir and not in the default /wp-content/uploads.

I have no other information about this, but would be happy to inquire further with WPEngine if requested.

    Best,
    Richard
