Images does not appear on GNews

Hi, Google News does not “get” their image information from the news sitemap. It gets them from either the post page or the rss feed that you configured in your Publisher Center.

Be aware that:
1. you need a plugin to add the featured image to your rss feed, see the accepted answer on https://support.google.com/news/publisher-center/thread/28488309?hl=en and
2. the image must be of good size and quality, minimum recommended size is 800px wide but for AMP pages a size of 1200px wide is even recommended
