images don’t appear when shared on socialmedia

    Hello! It’s been weeks since the featured images do not show up when the blog article is shared on social media – FB, twitter, fipboard etc. I have no issues before and I even used the old articles to share but to no avail.
    I have used the FB debugger tool and enabled the yoast meta. Still nothing has changed.
    I called the hosting provider but as from their end everything is fine.
    Also contacted wp support until now, I did not get any feedback.

    This the response from the FB debugger tool which i scrape several times:
    “Provided og:image, https://vinnenroute.net/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/Cyprus.jpg could not be downloaded. This can happen due to several different reasons such as your server using unsupported content-encoding. The crawler accepts deflate and gzip content encodings.”

    And the response from host provider agent:
    It will be reviewed by your content developer for the customization of the content so that it will show when you share it in your social media, because ideally I have reviewed and there is no such error in the hosting currently.
    We from GoDaddy can only make complete changes and solve the error related to the hosting, and the customization will be done from the developers.
    I have done the reset from the hosting, you can check it within sometime once it will be reflected.
    And if you get the same error, then do let your developers know.

    Hi @vinnenroute2019 we aren’t allowed to do anything meta-related in themes, so we don’t have any impact on anything in that category. It seems like an issue with your page speed plugin (not sure which one you use)

    Try disabling plugins one at a time until you find the one that causes the issue, then contact the plugin developer

    I did disable them several times but nothing happened. I will check the plug in developer. Thanks
