Images Doubling on Upload

What do you mean by doubling?

I was going to attach a screen shot, but doesn’t seem there’s an option.

As in, I’ll choose a photo from my desktop to upload – and it will. Then a few minutes later when I check there are two of the same photo. It’s going to eat up my storage in no time ??

Is one the original and one a smaller copy?

No, they’re both exactly the same size…

Try deactivating all of your plugins and then upload another image to explore whether any could be responsible.

If none are, keep all plugins deactivated and switch to the Twenty Seventeen theme to check whether it’s an issue with your theme.
