Images get squashed

Go to Woocommerce > Settings > Product > Display .. you can set your image dimensions at the bottom and select to Hard Crop or not .. after you change these settings, you will need to regenerate your thumbnails using the plugin mentioned just above the settings.

This is normally enough, however it is also possible that your theme may force changes in the images.

I’m not aware of any way to automatically detect orientation and rotate accordingly, but if you edit the settings correctly you should be able to achieve a good effect.

As for adding a comment, do you mean the same comment on every page or a different comment on each page ? Also what theme are you using ?

Pity about the oreintation issue – perhaps there is something out there that somebody else knows about??

There’s no spinning of the image orientation. The best solution is to make sure all your images are the same aspect ratio (all square or all rectangular). Here are a couple of explanations about aspect ratio:
