• 90% of my images (which were ok to use) have disappeared or will not load! In their place, all I have is the image’s title and a small black “x”. I’ve tried on other computer’s but same thing! What has happened to them?? Even recently added ones will be gone the next day!! What the hell?
Also, and probably part of the problem, my site keeps freezing up on me really bad, which then affects my whole internet connection!
This also happens on other PC’s I’ve tried!
    What’s wrong with my site..??
    My URL is https://bestclassichorrormovies.com/
    Thank you. Jamie.

  • I don’t seem to be seeing any broken images on your website, although you’re homepage is very long I don’t think that would be the issue either.

Can you point out where images should be? I do see some, would love to help.

Thanks so much for your speedy support David! Much appreciated. I’m surprised that it seems like you’re not getting the same result.
A couple examples of those missing pics would be.., at the top of 1st page (The Mummy), between the social media buttons and the beginning of the text, “The Mummy from 1932 is another timeless…” there should be an image of the movie’s poster. Then, there should be another image at start of the actual review, beginning with, “The Mummy (1932). During a field expedition to Egypt…”
Are you seeing these images David??

As for the site freezing on me, I remembered that I’d set my front page to display the latest posts instead of a static Home page. So, as you said, the “Home” page (or latest posts setting), was too long for things to load fast enough and hence the freezing.

You helped me to work that out thanks heaps!

I do see what you mean, the very first post has an image which should be located here..

    https://bestclassichorrormovies.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/imagesHDD1LYAV-150×150.jpg

And it redirects back to a image-not-found for WP.

Do you have any plugins running Jamie? If you do, the first course of action would be to disable all plugins and refresh to see if this has resolved the issue.

If it did, then begin turning each plugin on one by one to see which was causing problems.

There are a few other things you can try, but I suggest doing this first and seeing the result.

Let me know how it goes, hope I can help you solve your problem.

Ok David, thanks very much. Yep, I’ve got 6 plugins installed. I’ll go ahead and disable then turn them on one by one. Be back very shortly.

Be sure to check after turning on each plugin, if I didn’t mention that or it wasn’t implied.

    You’re welcome!

Let me know how it goes, I’ll be sure to reply when I can.

No good I’m afraid David. Deactivated them all, checked site, then one at a time activated them, checking the site (and refreshing) each time.
It’s a complete mystery. I even tried to restore an older version of the homepage, thinking the images should be there but they still did not appear!!!?
