Images in IE not Showing

It seems like this is a problem others have had with this popular theme…

It’s too bad, because the theme itself is so slick!

A quick glance, first with FF2 and then IE7, seemed to be ok. As near as I could tell, I saw the same images in both browsers for what that’s worth.

This is a really strange program. Some IE users tell me that they can’t see anything, and some can. I myself cannot see the images with IE 5.2 on Mac.

Does anyone else have any other versions of IE they could check this with so I can try to isolate the problem?

(just a side note… IE 5.2 on a Mac is probably not a great way to benchmark your site!)

Yeah, I know! I only tried IE 5.2 because it’s the only IE I have… and was getting complaints from readers that they couldn’t view in IE.

I was tinkering with another theme in case anyone is checking the site and doesn’t see the problem.

Changed back to the semi-broken andreas for now though.

I really like Andreas though! I wish it didn’t have that strange IE issue…

You may want to visit andreas site to see if he’s upgraded the original OSD, it’s possible the author who ported it hasn’t upgraded. Just a thought.

The all fo his download links go back to the WP Themes site, so it seems I’m working with the latest stuff. I see the some other people have made variations on his theme. Maybe some of them won’t have the same issue…. Going to dig around.

Hmm. It appears Andreas himself coded 01 1.5 for WP, so nix my suggestion…

Doh. This theme is great. I love it. I have searched through the WP Themes for something similar… big image on top, double sidebars.. But I can’t find anything else I like.

If only the world would switch to Firefox…

Does anyone using the newer versions of IE have the same trouble?

Seem Firefox, Safari, IE7 are all OK. I have only verified the issue with IE5.2 on Mac now.

Newer version of IE for which platform?
There is no newer than 5.2 for Mac. Even that is not supported and developed now:

On Win, IE6 your pictures are visible; same in Opera 9.02.
