Images in media library not available for slides

Hello

We have uploaded a number of new images to our image library yesterday. We want to use them as the featured images for slides. However, most are not showing up when we create a new slide. I can see all of the images in the medial library, but when I click over to slides, they are not available. Any suggestions?
