    So, I have come across something quite peculiar when trying to figure out why some images are not displaying on my blog pages. *It was working prior to 3.6 update*

    The page in question is here

    I am adding a link to an image file as follows: <img class=”files” alt=”” src=”https://www.chriswilcox.me.uk/blogimages/pdf.gif”&gt;

    However, the image doesn’t show up on the page. I have set the correct permission for the file and set the correct .htaccess commands as I have hotlinking disabled.

    When you look at the page info it is showing the link to the image as this: https://i0.wp.com/www.chriswilcox.me.uk/pdf.gif?w=700

    It is only on the images of file types in my FAQ section. It is quite perplexing and I have no idea what the issue is.

    I have moved the image to a different folder with no luck. I have deleted the <img> and saved and reinserted it with still no luck.

    Just wondering if you have any pointers or suggestions.

    Thanks in advance

  • I think you have installed Jetpack plugin and activated photon plugin. Photon is a content delivery network powered by wordpress to host your images to improve the speed of your website. If you want to host your images on your own website, deactivate photon from Jetpack and your problemshould be solved.
