images lightbox

  • Hi
    i can’t find any option in woocommerce settings for lightbox
    i don’t know why the lightbox is not working anymore, when i click on a product image it opens the url that is similar to /wp-content/uploads/
    would you please help me make the lightbox work again?

  • I’m getting the same problem. Since the update all the product images have gone mad. Instead of the usual one large image and then thumbnails which open into a lightbox, all product images are full size and listed down the screen one under the other.
    It’s ugly!
    There are several threads about this issue but no answers that I can find ??

    I am using the Artificer theme from WooCommerce so it doesn’t make any sense that this theme wouldn’t support the new gallery function. It’s one of their free themes, so one of their most popular.

    The document you refer to I’ve already read, but unless you know what you are doing, it doesn’t make any sense to a regular WP user. Where it says we have to ‘declare support’by adding in code, it doesn’t even tell us where this code has to be added.

    Do you know if it should be necessary to add this code to a Woo theme, and where it would have to be added?

    Just tested the latest version of the Artificer theme on one of my staging sites and the product gallery appears to work as intended. The Artificer theme changelog states that it’s been updated to support WooCommerce version 3’s gallery functionality – https://dzv365zjfbd8v.cloudfront.net/changelogs/artificer/changelog.txt. If your current theme doesn’t support the new gallery functionality, you can add support via your theme’s functions.php file.     I can see that the problem sites are using Artificer 1.3.16 but the fix came in 1.3.17. However, WordPress is telling us that the theme is up to date and is not giving an option to update it.
    Is there any way to force an update that you know of, or get it to check again for updates? My pals and I don’t feel comfortable with manually editing the code ourselves in case we break something! It would be our last resort.

    I’m testing 1.3.17 now on a dummy site and I can get the individual product images and gallery to work correctly but can’t get any featured images to show on the front page of the site. @purbeckpixels were you able to get featured product images to show in your testing of the new theme update?

    All my pals using the same theme have the same issue, no featured products on the front page.
