Hi Matt – just started using the free version – single website, not a lot of traffic ?? but I still want it to load as fast as possible.

I converted all my previously loaded jpg/png images to WebP successfully and your plugin is working great, using the pass-thru option.

I was wondering what happens if I now upload WebP format files for new images (I know not all browsers support WebP) – do 2 copies get saved – one original in uploads and one in uploads-webpc since it converts as I load?

    Thanks

    Leon

    Hello @loberman,

    Thanks for your message.

Please activate via .htaccess mode – since it gives much better results. The uploaded WebP file will not be converted to a second WebP file.

    Thanks Mateusz

I’ve switched to .htaccess mode – had Server Error 500’s when I first installed so was using pass-thru.

If it breaks again I’ll go back to pass-thru
