• Hello everyone,

I’ve been searching the forums for a few days and tried the solutions posted with no luck, this is my first post in the forum, so I appreciate the patience and help.

I cannot see images on my website, they are showing up as black box X’s. In my WordPress admin pages, no images are showing there either, not my uploaded images, not icons on plugin pages, nothing.

I received an email last week letting me know that WordPress caught an error with the Jetpack plugin used on my site. At that point my site was down, so I had to access it in recovery mode. Once in, I noticed Jetpack had an upgrade, so I upgraded, and everything worked – well, except my images.

Has anyone else had similar problems?

Here are a few details in terms of versions:
    -WordPress version 5.3.2
    -Current theme: Shapely (version 1.2.8)
-Current plugin: Jetpack by WordPress.com (version 8.1 when vulnerable, updated to 8.1.1)
    -PHP version 7.3.2

  • Hi
Not only the images, but also the menu is broken.
-First, disable cache plugin if you have
-Start to disable each plugin one by one and test each time
If you don’t find which plugin is it can be an update of the theme or WP version. If you did so-Check if with https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-downgrade/ you can downgrade the version and if you resolve the issue :
    -Install a Child theme
-Do again the steps above but -upgrading plugins or theme (not disabling)and when you come to the same problem you will know what is the issue.
