Images not appearing on initial page load

  • The site is in maintenance mode so apologies if you can’t see anything!

    I have a new theme I’m using (Responsive) and I don’t know if that’s related but images don’t load when any page is first opened. Reload the page – images appear! There’s no broken image icon, just blank space where the image would be visible.

    I’m working on a slowness issue but that’s been since before I changed themes.

    Seems like the settings get more granular all the time so I’m thinking I’ve missed something in caching or …?

  • As long as you can’t see the page, unfortunately we can’t tell you anything about it. You could try deactivating plugins as a test. Also try to use a WordPress standard theme.
