    Hello,

    First, I love this plug-in!

However when I do a Page Speed Test, the recommendations say to serve images in next-gen formats. I thought Optimole does this, so I am not sure what is wrong?

    Please help!

    Thank you!

    Hi @smae,

Thank you for using Optimole and for your feedback, we appreciate it!

Yes, Optimole serves images in webp format by default, however, I noticed that not all of your images are served by Optimole and some of them are redirected back to the original URLs, like this one:
    https://mluiqbl4y0ls.i.optimole.com/1zRjg-8.NuMe~7dbf/w:auto/h:auto/q:90/https://risewithsmae.com/wp-content/themes/risewithsmae/img/home/smae1-home.jpg

Based on what I see, Optimole is not able to reach this image, and some others and to solve this issue you might need to whitelist our user agent.

You need to whitelist requests with User Agent: Optimole(1.0) and images should start being served by Optimole.

Please ask your hosting provider about whitelisting the user agent.

    I hope this helps!

    Hello,

    Thank you for your response.

I contacted my host and their response is that they don’t have any whitelist option in order to add a User Agent Optimole(1.0).

They suggest the problem may be the Wordfence plugin, is this possible?

Also, the image you linked is stored in my theme files and not in WordPress Uploads, is there a way to deal with this?

    Thank you!

    Hi @smae,

Yes, the problem could be the Wordfence plugin, are you able to disable the plugin and check again if the issue persists with it disabled?

I see that you also contacted us via our contact form, let’s continue communicating there and we can also send our support plugin to check the issue further.

    Thanks!
