Every time Smush plugin needs to be updated some images do not display on my site. I usually know when the plugin needs to be updated, because several images will not be displayed. After I update the plugin they will display. If I do not notice this right away, then users will not see the correct information on the site. How do I prevent the display issue before the plugin is updated.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @jeankdg,

I hope you are doing well today!

This is a strange behavior indeed, please provide us more information about that.

The image display issue you experience before updating the Smush plugin could be due to compatibility issues with your theme, other plugins. If the issue is being resolved after update, you can prevent it by configuring your WordPress to automatically update all plugins whenever a new version is released. This will ensure that you always have the latest version of Smush running on your site.

    Kind regards,
    Zafer

    Hello @wpmudevsupport15 Zafer,

    Thank you for your reply.

I enabled auto updates. At times, this does not work, or it turns it off. The behavior is very odd. Images like the logo, banner, and slider images on the home page disappear when the Smush plugin needs to be updated. It’s not all the images on the site. The logo and banner always disappear when an update is required. Sporadically, other images disappear too. Is something set up incorrectly? I’m not sure what could be set up incorrectly; any ideas?

    Thank you,
    Jeankdg

    Hi @jeankdg,

Hope this message finds you well and thanks for the information.

After taking a closer look at your site, I noticed you are using Divi. We don’t have reports about similar issues, and I tried to replicate the same in my own lab using Divi and Smush but the images are fine if the plugin is outdated.

Since not all images are missing it might be a cache issue. When you experience this issue, could you clear Divi’s cache first, and see if that solves the issue? Let us know, please.

    Kind regards,
    Laura

Laura, thank you for your response. I will try this next time the issue arises.
