Images Not Filling Tiles in Tiled Layout

  • Hi. Even though I’ve used this plugin on a couple sites before and I love how easy it is, I’m having an issue replicating a tiled layout on a new site. For some reason the images don’t fill up or “cover” the intended blocks in a chosen tile layout. They only fill up the width of the space but not the height and I have not had this issue before. See attached.

    Is there a setting or something I’m missing from a recent update? It shouldn’t matter but in this specific example I’m using all horizontal images, but they should still cover / fill the squared tiles. Thanks for any help!

    Most probably something is conflicting with our plugin styles. Can you provide your site URL with this bug?

    Thanks for such a quick response. Unfortunately my site is under development and “hidden” with a Maintenance plugin but I have temporarily taken it down for you to preview the gallery in question (link below).

    Hey.

    This is something, that adds by your theme or 3rd-party plugin. I don’t think we can somehow fix such hard code, you will need to manually determine what exactly adds it (screenshot clickable):

    Thanks again for tracking that down. It’s a custom theme that’s very simple at first and I don’t have many plugins installed at the moment so I’m confused. I was looking for some added image code earlier when I was troubleshooting and missed over this but it’s nothing in my theme that’s causing that.

    Are you sure it’s nothing with the WordPress defaults or the Visual Portfolio causing that? Something w the Gutenberg editor because I rarely ever use that and implementing on this site? Thanks.

    Update. I have disabled the few plugins and tested the gallery with no luck. And that image styling is not added via my theme code.

    Is there another way to figure out how it’s being added or even better, overriding with CSS? Even though it’s inline CSS? I added something like below but not working, assuming it’s not specific enough or even possible.

    .vp-portfolio__item-img img { height: auto !important }
