Images not loading after 8.8.1 update

I found that after the most recent update (8.8.1) images failed to load.

The ‘lazy image’ image option was NOT checked, but t he caching/image caching was.

I unchecked all options under ‘Performance’ and the images loaded again correctly.

So I have resolved the problem for me — but there appears to be an issue that Jetpack devs should be aware of.

The weekly publication site in question has the latest WordPress 5.5. and PHP and is generally up to date. It is hosted (very satisfactorily) by FastComet.

Happy to test further if Jetpack would like me to!
