• I’m redesigning https://www.marjonspecialtyfoods.com that is hosted with GoDaddy. The original website was developed with GoDaddy’s Website Builder so I did not have the ability to develop the new website within a sub directory (ie https://www.marjonspecialtyfoods.com/newsite/) on the current hosting package with a new database.

GoDaddy suggested that we purchase a Linux Hosting Package under the same account with GoDaddy and develop the new WordPress website under a sub domain of new.marjonspecialtyfoods.com. My concern was when we got ready to change the URL from new.marjon to marjon that the coding would still be pointing to the new.marjon URL’s.

Today I made the switch and just as I expected, there are a LOT of images that are not loading. You can view the site by going to https://www.marjonspecialtyfoods.com/home/. I installed a Search and Replace Plugin but that did not work.

So then I decided to re-upload the Logo Image and it still will not load.

I’m going to reach out to Avada Theme Developer as well but wanted to solicit any advice from the forums as well.

Thank you in advance for your help.

    Hello,

It looks like your images on the website are still pointing to your old sub domain (see here). To fix all images like this do the following:

    1. Make an install backup

    2. Install Better Search Replace from www.ads-software.com

    3. Once installed and activated, go to Tools > Better Search Replace

    4. In the field “Search for” put “https://new.marjonspecialtyfoods.com/wp-content/uploads/”

    5. In the field “Replace with” put “https://marjonspecialtyfoods.com/wp-content/uploads/”

    6. In the field “Select tables” select all of them

    7. Leave “Case-Insensitive” and “Replace GUIDs” unchecked

    8. Check “Run as dry run” (that way you can see how many tables it will replace before you actually do it)

    9. Click “Run Search/Replace”

    10. After you confirm how many tables in the database will be changed re-run the exact same thing but without step 8 (leaving “Run as dry run” unchecked)

Thanks Click. Looks like everything is working great now. I’m going to go through the entire website to make sure but so far, so good. Thanks again!
