After upgrading to wordpress 5.4, I am facing the following issues:
– homepage images load fine, although they are not all properly resized (I noticed that when my rating in GTMetrix dropped from A to F)
– internal pages and posts: images do not load. If I edit the post, resize the image (for example from medium to large then back to medium) then the image will show
– If I disable the lazyloading option on Optimole, then all images will show without any issue.
I have optimole installed on 14 websites…

That’s strange, from our tests Optimole works just fine in WP 5.4

May I have the GTMetrix comparison between before and after the update?

This will help me identify the issue.

It might work fine when you install it on 5.4 but have you tried installing on a previous version and upgrading to 5.4?

GTMetrix after the upgrade:

It is the “scale images and lazy load” option when unabled that blocks the delivery of the images. If I disable it and run GTMetrix again, I am getting this:

Another thing I noticed. If I get to a post, and manually resize any image (i.e. select for example in the dropdown from medium to large) then the image will show. Even if I revert it then from Large to Medium. But that would mean opening each single post and resizing all images manually…

The scale images and lazy load should solve the scale images issue. We would like to see what happens when the option is on.
