• I have read past forum posts before posting. I am running the Avenue theme. Last night I was able to load pictures with out issue for a bit and then I hit a point where no media would load in either the drag and drop or the desktop loader. It starts to load then stops at 4%. I switched to the TwentyFourteen theme and deactivated all the plugins and the issue remains. I installed the theme on another site and it runs fine and uploads with out issue. I have tried different browsers as well and the issue remains. Please help!

  • Hello,

When it stops at 4% do any errors show up on the page? Anything like “HTTP Error”?

Do you have access to error logs? Information on the issue may exist in web server or PHP logs. If you do not have access to web server logs contact your hosting provider and see if they can provide you information. They may also be willing to help turn on PHP logging if you are not sure how.

Turn on debugging in WordPress as well: https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Debugging_in_WordPress

Have you changed your hosting environment recently? Make sure the upload path is defined to the wp-content/uploads folder.

Add the following code to the wp-config.php file and see if this helps: define(‘UPLOADS’, ‘wp-content/uploads

More information on the upload path can be found here: https://premium.wpmudev.org/blog/change-default-wordpress-uploads-folder/

If you find any error entries in log files please let us know what they are!

There are no errors it just shows the status bar with a small percentage loaded and that’s it. I wish it had an error so I had something to go off.

I called my hosting company and they said it has nothing to do with the hosting. This is a brand new set up and as stated the uploads were working fine and then just completely stopped working.

    I will try the debugging

I hired someone on Fiverr to look at the site and found out images are loading from other computers just fine. Just not my laptop, yet this laptop is uploading images just fine to other sites, including one running the same theme. Can something be reset somehow?
