    Hi

I’m sorry if this is a very stupid question – I am running the Bulk Optimize process on my website’s existing images. It says it’s optimising, shows the progress bar and relevant image names, and completes the process, but when I look at the images in my media library, all of them say “Not processed, Optimize now!”, and when I ask the plugin to show me the images it has optimised, the table is empty.

My host has disabled exec() so I bought an API key for 5000 images per month and am running it in the cloud. However, after having optimised several hundred images, the 5000 hasn’t counted down at all. This tends to support my theory that nothing is happening.

When I click on the “Optimize now” link for an individual image in my media library I get a blank white screen.

Have you seen this before? Is there any other info I can send to help diagnose the problem? Or is it normal for all the images in my media library to still say “Optimize now” because they can always be further optimised?

Should I rather download the cloud version of the plugin and try that?

    Thanks very much!

    Here’s the debug output: https://pastebin.com/i2bVnv92

you need to turn on cloud optimization for the image types you want to process, otherwise the cloud api key by itself doesn’t do much.

I have jpg and png cloud optimisation turned on under Cloud Settings on the main settings page.

hmmm, interesting. What happens if you enable the gif optimization, and try to re-optimize a handful of images?

Bingo! That fixed it. Thanks. Now getting output on each image (various sizes, % savings, etc).
