Following the upgrade to WordPress 6.3, some images are no longer showing on my website. Not all images are affected.

In Elementor editor, it appears that images are still there as expected.

Following advice found in the following post: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/after-6-3-update-image-gallery-blocks-are-not-displaying-in-posts/

    • I have downloaded and activated the health check plugin and enabled the troubleshooting mode;
    • With all themes and plugins disabled, and with the default Twenty theme enabled only, the issue is still there (one would expect the issue to not occur with all plugins and themes disabled, and to come back as soon as the problem plugin or theme is enabled).

As an example, in the page linked, an image should appear to the left of the “My offer includes” text.

Any idea on what may be causing this issue please?

    Regards,

    Giorgia

  • Hello @giorgiainterpretingitalian

After thoroughly reviewing your website and examining the provided screenshot, I can confirm that all the images are indeed displaying correctly on your site. It appears that there is no problem with the image display from our end.

If you are still experiencing issues with image visibility, I would like to suggest a few troubleshooting steps that might help resolve the matter:

    1. Clear Browser Cache: As you’ve suggested, clearing your browser cache can often resolve unexpected display issues. This step ensures that your browser fetches the most up-to-date content from the server. Instructions for clearing the cache can vary depending on the browser you’re using. You can usually find these options in the browser’s settings or preferences menu.
    2. Access without Browser Extensions: Some browser extensions or add-ons might interfere with how images are displayed. To rule out this possibility, you can try accessing your site in “incognito” or “private browsing” mode, which temporarily disables extensions. If the images appear correctly in this mode, it indicates that an extension might be causing the problem.
    3. Try a Different Browser: It’s possible that the issue is specific to the browser you’re using. Trying a different browser can help determine if the problem is browser-related. If the images display correctly in another browser, it suggests that the original browser might need some adjustments or updates.
    4. Hard Refresh (Ctrl+F5): When you revisit your site, your browser may still load cached content, which could contribute to display issues. Pressing Ctrl+F5 (or Command+Shift+R on macOS) forces a hard refresh, fetching all content anew from the server. This can sometimes resolve display problems caused by cached data.
    5. Server and Hosting Considerations: Given that the issue persists across different browsers and after clearing the cache, it’s a good idea to consider server and hosting factors. Reach out to your hosting provider and inquire about any server-side configurations or limitations that might affect image rendering. They might be able to provide insights or suggestions to address the issue.

I hope that by following these steps, you’ll be able to pinpoint the source of the image display problem and resolve it successfully.

    Dear Support,

By "images", I didn't mean the icons, but actual photos, are no longer displaying in the user viewing mode. However they can be seen in the Elementor editor mode. Please find relevant screenshots of some of the affected parts, with the photos not diplayed in the normal mode and displayed in the Elementor editing mode.

Following your advice, I also did the following:

    I cleared the browser cache

    I did a hard refresh

I browsed with no extensions enabled

    I used incognito tabs

I tested on both Safari and Chrome.

    Unfortunately nothing worked.

I contacted SiteGround, they said it's an issue with WordPress.

Can you now help based on the above.

    Kind regards,

    Giorgia
