Images not showing after smushing

    I installed Smush yesterday and applied it to all my images. Since then my images are not laoding anymore, not at all. I checked other topics, but nothing works.

    I disabled Lazy Loading in Smush, but still the same.
    I disabled all images optimizing options on other plugins to help with speed (Jetpack, Autoptimize).

    So even though lazy loading is turned off everywhere, still no images. This is a big problem, because my travel website relies heavily on images. How can I fix this?

    Yes I did, but I noticed I also had a cache installed on my site. I emptied all of them and now they work.

    Is there a way to turn back on lazy loading while keeping the images?

    sure; you’ll have to (a) choose lazyloading between smush & autoptimize and (b) if smush lazyload then exclude the smush JS from being optimized by autoptimize.

    I have turned off everything related to images in Autoptimize. As soon as I turn on lazy loading in Smush, all my images disappear again.

    My Google Analytics tracking code also stopped working. I am now guessing this has to do with WP Supercache, or is this something known that could happen when using Smush? (Cannot imagine that is the case but to be sure).

    I disabled both Autoptimize and WP Supercache and enabled lazy loading on Smush. Everything works now.

    Do you have any advice how I can use both of these plugins again to make my site faster without breaking anything again? I am not very technical and very frustrated by this. I hope you can help me with the right settings to benefit from site speed without losing my analytics data or images.

    well, if using smush lazyload then exclude the smush JS from being optimized by autoptimize and all will be well ??

    Like I said, I am not technical. I tried what you suggest and it did not work. Could you be more specific?

    well, first of all; active AO with “optimize JS” disabled to confirm is the problem is with JS opt.?

    if so, try adding plugins/wp-smushit/ to the comma-separated JS optimization exclusion list (clear your page caches) and see if that works. if it does not have a look at the browser console for JS errors and report back with those here?
