Images not showing after update

  • Hi

    I updated Polylang to the newest version and now my regular images are not showing. When I disable Polylang, the images are back again. At the moment, I am just developing the website in one language (the main language).

    I use The7 theme and WPBakery as layout builder.

    After contact with the theme makers they say it is not theme related but something with Polylang. Extra info: my “media translation” is not active (and never have been). I don’t need to translate my media.

    There is nothing in the latest Polylang updates which could break the media. The current version is 3.1.3

    What version were you using before you upgraded?

    Just the previous version (3.1.2.?). Keeping the website up to date

    Thank you for the information. So you updated from the 3.1.2 version to 3.1.3. Nothing has been done in these versions that could break the media. To go futher could you please show me your Media Library in list mode (not grid mode) where I can see the image which is missing on the front?
    I would need to see how you add this image into your page and what happens when you visualize your page from the front.
    To well understand the context of your screenshots/video please don’t remove anything. I would also need that you show me your Media module by going to Languages > Settings.

    A user just reported that this issue has been introduced in the latest version of WPBakery 6.8.0 version. The user confirm that the issue disappeared when reverting to the 6.7.0 version of WPbakery. See: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/polylang-and-wpbakery/
    Could you please test if your issue also disappears when reverting the 6.7.0 version? If so, please contact the WP Bakery team to report this issue so that they can have a look at it.

    Hi @chrystl,

    I read something about a conflict in the “helpers.php” file, but I don’t know if they mean in WPbakery file or Polylang.

    Hello @pixel_me,
    As far I understand the line mentioned in the WP Bakery discussion is in the WP Bakery plugin > include > helpers > helpers.php line 45, comment the line 45 should solve the issue. The WP Bakery team mentioned “We will add this onto our list, so that it can be checked in the upcoming release.”. That’s great.
