Images Not Showing after Updating WP

  • I updated WordPress yesterday to the newest version, i also updated all the plugins and my BuddyBoss theme as well. Now … images will not appear on the website (mobile or desktop). On the desktop if you mouse over where they should be … some of them will appear.

    This may be a plugin or theme conflict. Please attempt to disable all plugins, and switch to the default Twenty Twenty theme. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of the problem.

    If you can install plugins, install Health Check. On the troubleshooting tab, you can click the button to disable all plugins and change the theme for you, while you’re still logged in, without affecting normal visitors to your site.

    So … i managed to get the images back by getting rid of smush. However, this revealed a new problem! The Grid Layout will no longer work on the blog module. Only the full width layout works. All three of these pages should be in grid layout with either two to three wide

    However, if you switch to grid layout now … the images will not show!

    Also, the “Read More” for excerpts on the blog posts page https://myeaglenet.com/eaglenet-news/ does not work. It is activated but read more no longer shows up. (it should say read more at the bottom of each of the excerpts to open the entire post).

    I did uninstall and reinstall the remaining plugins to see if any of those had an effect on this new issue and had no luck.

    Wth SMUSH plugin DISABLED , switch to one of the default themes. Does the issue go away?
