I recently loaded WordPress into a directory on my website located at https://www.lagiraudiere.com/volunteer-france/ however I am having problems loading, or seeing, images. They are shown as grey squares. I have file permissions set at upload folder 755 and the images are 644. I used a Filezilla FTP and using the installed theme of ‘simple themes’ I did try changing the theme with no change. My php version is 7.4 I did update this recently via my host. My host is namesco and I think its apache server. Any help, advice would be appreciated. Regards Paul

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • When we try to access the resource ( image ) we get the below error

    Forbidden

You don't have permission to access this resource.Server unable to read htaccess file, denying access to be safe

We suspect this is happening because the top directory for the project is not readable.

please set the permissions of top directory to 755.

Thank you, I applied 755 from the main directory and yes it worked so thanks for your help. All folders are now 755 and all files are 644.

    Kind regards
    Paul
