[Minimatica]: Images not showing in gallery

Have any of you had the following problem with the homepage gallery slider?

I’m working on https://portlandyouthdance.com. I love the Minimatica theme… except I can’t get the slider to work properly on the home page. The thumbnails are showing, but they never pull out, and something weird happens over at the right side. I’ve posted 4 and 5 featured photos, thinking maybe I had to get enough up there for it to work, but it didn’t make any difference.

Please help???

Hi @musicaroundus. Did you figure out how to make other pages work like the homepage with 4 images on the front?

Sorry, to ask the same as previous users have, but it don’t get what I’m doing (or not doing)…
I can’t get the images on posts to be shown in the homepage slider (using Ver. 1.0.8 of Minimatica)
Here’s what I’ve done so far:

– Created 4 posts.
– Uploaded 1 image (as featured image) in each post (all images are 600×400 pix.
– All posts are sticky posts.
– Tried with the following post formats: Standard, Image, Gallery
– All posts belong to the ‘Homepage’ category

However, the slider does show the Post title and text.

The Theme options are:
– Homepage view –> Gallery
– Category view –> Gallery
– Tag view –> Blog
– Author view –> Blog
– Archive View –> Blog
– Blog Category –> Tried with ‘Homepage’, –none– and ‘Uncategorized’

Have installed the following plugins:
– AJAX Thumbnail Rebuild
– Lightbox Gallery

Ok, got it to work.
My mistake. When setting the featured image, at the end of the window where the image is selected,I was clicking on the prominent ‘Insert into Post’ button, not the ‘Use as featured image’ link to the right.
That was all. Hope this experience helps someone.

My gallery slider is not expanding like it use to. My website is 60daysandnights.com. has anyone else ran into this? it was a few days ago. i wish i would have done a back up of it then, thanks

flrideguide how did you manage to get the main page to link to pages on the bottom menu as well as the images?

Whenever I add the redirect whenever I open the domain it just redirects from the last blog post to the page

Hi, Can anyone help me when i upload my featured image, it doesn’t fill the box no matter how i resize it. Anyone know the correct width/pixels to use? and how to change it.

Another thing, Is is possible to use my own log instead of the default style header. It would be a .jpeg I tried embedding it but maybe im going wrong.

@choshed The image needs to be at least 600×400 pixels to fill a slide. It will be automatically resized and cropped. You can change the header image in Appearance > Header, it needs to be 940×100 pixels.

@berndw The support forums at One Designs have very poor content? Really? Let me tell you why you can’t find what you’re looking for there:

1. Featured images are not theme specific but default WordPress functionality.
2. They’re already covered in the FAQ.

While im here.. Ha, How do i make it so the featured image only is on the initial slider and not at the top of the post where it links you too?

In single.php remove the call to the_post_thumbnail(). You may also want to delete the entry-meta section for consistency.
