Images Not Showing In My Theme

The problem seems to be theme-specific. Read this:

Thanks for your reply. I’ve tried different versions of WordPress and it’s doing the same thing! I really think it has something to do with the path in the php but I could be wrong. I would be more than happy to send the theme via email to anyone that may be able to help me out.

I said it it is theme-specific because you do not have problems with Twenty Eleven theme. Can you post here your site URL?

Try to post something along with an image (use Twenty Eleven theme with all plugins off).

Ok I followed your instructions and just made 2 posts. The first post I set an image as a featured image and it did not display at all. The second post I inserted the image into the post and it displays. When I try to set an image as a featured image it does not show. What could be causing this?

Edit the first post and try to insert the image and see if it works.

I can see it in your post. Check it (clear caches, if it does not show up).

And I find that you are now on WordPress 3.2. Why not use the latest version and troubleshoot so that there won’t be conflicts caused by older and newer versions of WP, theme, plugins, etc.?

I reverted back to WordPress 3.2 because I figured 3.5 wouldn’t support some of the plugins. But now I have all plugins disabled and am still getting nothing. I just updated back to 3.5 and am still having the same problem. Inserted pictures display but when I try to set a feature image it is showing on the post edit screen but not the actual post. Any idea what might be causing this?

Ok this is strange….I decided to change themes to Twenty Twelve and amazingly the featured image is showing in the post. Why would it not be showing in Twenty Eleven or the theme I uploaded?

Yes I installed 3.5 with the Twenty Eleven 1.5 Theme. I am really stumped as to why the featured image isn’t showing on the post but it shows in the edit screen?

I resolved the issue! ??

It turns out the timthumb.php script had an incorrect path but all is well now. Thanks for your help.
