Images not showing on stories – Pointing to IP addres instead of the domain name

    Hello Team,

    I just noticed my story images were showing on neither the frontend nor the editor in the backend.

    When I checked the document inspector on chrome, I noticed the stories were pointing to the images via the IP of the website and not the domain.

    Not able to fix this.

    Can someone help point me in the right direction?

    Hi there,

    If I check your site’s other content, I also see lots of references to the IP address instead of the domain.

    For example at https://www.quirkywanderer.com/2017/08/10/discovering-doors-of-southern-india-with-tata-pravesh/ the IP address is in almost all URL references.

    So this is not specific to the Web Stories plugin but something that applies to your whole site.

    To address this, I recommend checking your URL configuration under Settings -> General as well as your server configuration, perhaps consulting with your website administrator and/or hosting provider.

    Since this is not Web Stories specific, you could also ask for guidance in the general WordPress support forums at https://www.ads-software.com/support

    Actually, turns out, the issue was while migrating the site.

    The easiest way out I found was just to find and replace the IP address with the domain name in the DB backup file that a downloaded and then replaced the existing db with this updated file!
