Hmmmm, looking at the screenshots you provided and digging around the link you provided, I can’t see why this is happening. It seems that your background images are being stripped out of the code.

What happens when you create a test page without the page-builder (using the standard WP editor) and insert the shortcode?

Maybe the background images you are using have some strange characters within their filenames – if so try renaming these images and then re-assign them as background images to your slides.

I could dig into this further if you give me a login to your site – it you want to do this then you can contact me using the contact form at the bottom of this page:

    This has been resolved.
Laura emailed me her login details, and I determined that this issue was being caused by the ‘Autoptimize’ plugin – I disabled the option to fetch images from a CDN.

I’ll be happy to assist getting things to work with Autoptimize, but based on what I see AO is entirely off now?

re. “option to fetch images from a CDN” -> was that “optimize images” or “lazyload” Simon? In case of lazyload you could try the lazyload exclusions. Excluding images from being optimized can also be done, but requires the use of filter, so .. ??

Her home page was 28MB in size.
She had used large PNGS and 100% compressed JPEGs (i.e. no compression). There were various performance optimization plugins installed, but I told her she would be better served optimizing her images, and unsing JPEGs at 85% to 90% compression.

I see that her home page is 4.1 MB in size, so looks like she followed my advice.
