    Hi,

I am creating a page that has some information available for all users but also some information that is limited to members-only. The members-only content is posted underneath the free content on the same page. Content in both the member & non-member parts are a combination of text and images.

I am having issues with this and I hope you can help:

    Summary
I create the accessible-to-all part of the page using text and images then I create the members-only area below it by doing the same but this time I surround the content with the relevant shortcode to restrict access. The problem is that when a user without the required membership level visits the page, all the images included in the accessible-to-all section disappear leaving only text! The text and images go together because it is a guide so it would be great if you could help me figure out how to fix this.

I have also tried using the membership block function but…
When I create the first part of the page normally and then use the ‘require membership block’ for the restricted section further down the page, nothing shows up at all for non-users so they cannot see there is additional member content. The prompt to show a non-user that they need to sign up to access this area is not present and this is a really important feature for my page.

If you could provide some assistance with this, it would be much appreciated.

By default, PMPro doesn’t block access to images. So images outside the membership shortcode should show up. Users who find and access the images directly should see the images.

We have tutorials on our site for how to block images, or if your site is generating excerpts on archive pages, then that process might strip the images out. Is this also happening on the single post view?

I can’t tell what might be causing this without knowing more about what add ons and customizations you are running.

You can add a membership shortcode for non-members linking to sign up. So something like [membership level=”0″]Click here to become a member.[/membership]
