• I’ve recently started having problems with the media library not showing images. Here is what I see:
    https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/8090461/wp-media-library.jpg
The images that do have thumbnails were uploaded last week. The three that don’t were uploaded today. The files are being uploaded, and the various sizes including the thumbnail size is being generated because I can see them via FTP.

Here is what I have tried:

    • Disabled all plugins, didn’t help
    • Switched to 2014 theme, didn’t help
    • uploaded from a different computer, didn’t help
    • tried multiple browsers, didn’t help
    • checked the media settings for any anomalies, didn’t see anything wrong
    • verified TimThumb was updated, it was

When I try to insert the image into a post I noticed that the size dropdown that is normally there for images, isn’t there. See that here: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/8090461/wp-attachmentdetails.png

It’s almost as if they are being uploaded as documents, not images. Any idea how to fix this?

    Hi again,

Even if you don’t know what is wrong, maybe you can suggest other troubleshooting steps?

    Thanks.

Still having the problem, but I’ve tried a few more things.

    • Tried rebuilding thumbnails and got an error only on the images that are having this issue: “headshot” (ID 16182) failed to resize. The error message was: The originally uploaded image file cannot be found at (note that I didn’t remove the location at the end of this error, there was no location at the end)
    • I’ve checked the database and everything in the data for the image matches prior images data
    • WordPress does know this is an image that is being uploaded because in the media library it lists it as File type: images/jpeg
    • In the media library for file size: it lists nothing, it also has no field for dimensions on the bad images

    Anyone else have any suggestions?
