images not uploading – error message

    PLEASE someone help me. Whenever I try to upload an image to a post, I get this error message:

    Unable to create directory /home/.sites/111/site30/web/blog/wp-content/2008/03. Is its parent directory writable by the server?

    How do I resolve this?? I’m on a tight deadline with this one and really need to get this resolved asap. Thanks in advance,

  • I am having the same issue.
    Does anyone know if this is just a permissions problem.

    I also have problems with uploading images to the post, and also do not get any answer on it from WordPress side.
    My problem is slightlty different from yours, as I do not get any error message but a ‘red cross’ instead a photo.

    However I additionally have installed a widget called NEXTgen Gallery, and with its help it is possible to upload images in the alternative way.

    Maybe it helps a bit to solve temporarily your issue.
