images not uploading to my media library

  • recently I haven’t been able to upload any images to my media library through the admin panel, I’ve tried both ways to upload and I get these error messages…

    1. “wright_thumb.jpg” has failed to upload due to an error
    File upload stopped by extension.

    2. Error saving media attachment.

    Please help! I’ve already tried replacing the wp-admin and wp-includes folders, clearing the cache, and removed files from /wp-content/uploads/js_cache . NOTHING has worked.
