I have a website with a blog page in masonry style. The blog page diplays an overview of each news article with the excerpt and an image. Alle images have the same width but differ in height. These images are generated by the theme on the fly, ie. when the blogpage is requested. The images are not compressed. I tried the bulk optimizer afterwards, but the blog page images do not get included in this optimisation.

What about compression of such images ?

    Hi Ron5,

I’m not sure I’m following exactly how these images are being generated, however, if whatever is generating them is using standard WordPress hooks then they should go through the optimization process. Are those images kept in a different folder, perhaps? If so, you could add the folder to the “Folders to Optimize” function in the Advanced tab of the plugin settings (you may need to enable ludicrous mode to see this tab) and then run a Bulk Optimizer.

If that isn’t the case, then we may need to look into it more in depth. If you could send your system info (from the support tab of the plugin settings) to us to see what’s going on.
