Images Optimization

  • Hi.
    My website is very heavy on images and as a consequence of it, very slow.
    I thought to try compressing/optimizing all the existing images.
    Since there are around 1000 images, the manual way would cost me a lot of time.
    Is there any free plugin available that could do the optimization in an automatical way?

  • You just need to use your photo/image application to optimize the images for web.
    You should be able to do a batch export with all current images and then just do a web optimized export on future images when you have them ready. I would strongly advise against using a plugin to do this optimization because you will not get the best results when you use a plugin.
