Images, pages, and account get deleted on their own

    For the second time (last time was about half a year ago) we are dealing with a strange issue on our website (www.meubelfabriekwestra.nl).
    Here’s what happens:

    1: some pages are moved to the trash. Both times it happened, the same pages were moved to the trash. Here is one of the pages that was moved to the trash: https://www.meubelfabriekwestra.nl/industrieel-ovaal-eiken/
    2: The images that were on those pages got permanently removed from the server; restoring a backup does NOT bring them back. The images that were removed are the same as last time. (biggest problem for us)
    3: One of the administrator accounts was deleted, and there are customer accounts in the list with strange names.

    We are at a loss as to what could be causing it. There seems to be no logical patern to the problems. The pages that get moved to the trash are the same sort of pages (product overview of all the tables we sell). The pictures that are on these pages get permanently removed, can no longer be found on the server, and do not get restored from a back-up.
    Siteground.com is our host.

    We are at a loss about what could be causing this, so if anybody has any idea, please let us know.

    That does seem odd, do you have any security plugins set up on your site? If not, you may want to invest in one and change your password in the event that someone is maybe doing this on purpose.

    Have you contacted siteground and asking them if they have any insight as to what could be going on and why the backups do not restore files that should have been backed up? Assuming they are backup up your site for you?
