Images Revert to original after regenerating thumbnails

Hi,

Every time I regenerate thumbnails some images revert to its original dimensions. It is a hassle as I need to crop again all these images. I have tried regenerating while having smush and all plugins related to images deactivated, but the problem persists…

Is there any solution for his? Thanks
