If the images you are selecting for the image slider are not automatically being cropped or are not showing up in the slider, it is most likely because they were uploaded before the theme was installed and therefore don’t have a custom image size. All you need to do is re-upload the image (or upload a new one) or install this plugin and run it: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/

  • I’ve uploaded the image for the image slider(After installing the theme), but it’s not being generated at 2100×700 resolution. I then followed your advice here and installed the “Regenerate Thumbnails” plugin. When I ran that it regenerated the thumbnails, but didn’t do the 2100×700 resolution.

I manually sized it to 2100×700 in photoshop since I don’t want weird cropping/resolution things done to the image, then upload it to WP. When I go to the wp-content\uploads\yyyy\mm folder there isn’t a 2100×700 version there. If I copy the base file to end in -2100×700 it works.

So it seems the bug is that if you upload a file of the required size, it doesn’t work. If I upload an image that is 2103x701px, it resizes it to 2100×700.

Seems a bit silly that to get an image working on the theme I must intentionally introduce an error in my workflow and either resize the image to an incorrect size, or manually fiddle with files on the server.
