Images SEO : link to parent page or include in site map ?

    Hello, dear community,
    I am concerned about how to increase the “readability”of my images with SEO.

    Do you recommend include images in sitemap?
    Or is it better to link them to the parent page and include these pages in sitemap ?
    I have found different opinions, and would love to know what you think is better.

    Another newbie question : does protecting images from right click will makes them unlikely to appear on search engines results ?
