Images taken on iPad are showing the wrong way round when uploaded to WP
-
I have a website where members upload pictures to WP for blog posts. In recent months, for some who upload pictures taken on their iPads, they are seen the wrong way around when viewed using a Laptop, yet are viewed correctly when seen using an iPad or iPhone.
I have tried receiving their pictures via email and saving them on to my Laptop and then uploading them on to WP. But although I receive them via email the correct way around, WP ( Library) seems to turn them upside down, apart from a couple of pictures that have been edited into a collage of pictures by the original photographer.
I have seen a few people on the wordpress Forum with similar problems, but cannot find a solution. Is there something I can tell my members using the iPads and iPhone that will make it easier all round.
Below is a link to one of the pages on my website where, for me, the pictures are the wrong way round when viewed on my Laptop. It will be interesting to see how it looks for those viewing it on an iPad. It should be the correct way round

– Pictures taken with an iPad, when viewed on the iPad are seen the correct way around
– Upload them to a WP website using the same iPad and they are seen the correct way around but when viewed on a Laptop they are the wrong way round in WP.
– Change them to the correct way round, in the Library, using the Laptop and they are seen the wrong way round when viewed on an iPad or iPhone.
– The only way it seems to work is if they upload them to my website, I then download them from the website, upside down on to my Laptop. Rotate them the correct way on my Laptop in iPhoto, then upload them again using my Laptop.I hope this all makes sense, because it’s doing my little old head in trying to find a solution. ??
Many thanks in advance.
