Images uploaded look fuzzy and washy

I’m having a problem with the clarity with the images I’ve uploaded. Images look fine on the server but within WordPress the pictures look fuzzy and washy. I don’t know if this is a setting issue or what. They aren’t re-sized or re-editing in WordPress so I’m not sure why they look this way. Any help would be appreciated.
