Images uploaded to media are showing up in redirect as 404s

The not so funny thing is i can see them in the media if I edit them, but not in the posts, or in the media thumbnails – they are grey boxes.
There is nothing visible in the file folder in content either.But they do come up as 404s in redirect.

Add redirect /wp-content?/uploads?/2013?/08?/Screen-Shot-2013-09-19-at-11.05.55-AM-150×150.pngHelp please and thanks for anything.
