Images won’t display

    I upgraded to WordPress 2.5. Everything looks nice, but . . .

    I uploaded a new image to the directory where I store them. I went to insert it in a new post, and the image won’t display. All I get is that little icon with the red “X” in the middle. Images that were already in the directory continue to link fine, but anything I load there now seems to be invisible to WordPress. I am linking to images using the full URL. Hotlinking within the site is enabled.

    Does anyone have an idea what’s up?
