• I have this recurring problem where I upload one image, it quickly loads 100% and then I see the thumbnail image that I can edit. Great. Then any subsequent images I try to upload will upload to 100%, but just stay at 100% and not convert to an actual image that I can edit. If I go to my media library, they’re there but there’s no thumbnail (it’s just blank) and I can’t edit them. Sometimes it’ll take a few minutes and then it’s fine. But sometimes, like right now, they never fully load.

It happened for a while, got really bad for a bit and then seemingly fixed itself, and now it’s bad again. Any suggestions?

It may be that your host can’t support the load of multiple background processes creating the derivative images.

A couple of things to try:

    1. Increase the memory available to WordPress.
    2. If you’re running on a VPS, install ImageMagik and the associated PHP libraries.

    Thanks! I’ll look into these.
