    I was having the same issue but I think I may have figured out a temporarty solution.

    I made a gallery the normal way, uploaded the photos by dragging them to the gallery folder in my FTP.

    I went back to the gallery page on wordpress, click “create new thumbnails” – all the photos appeared right after that. Hope that helped x

    I am having the same problem and have tried almost all of the workarounds except for the FTP upload.
