Images/media settings not playing well with Postie Plugin

  • I use the Postie plugin to add pictures to my blog from my cell phone. Previous to some recent upgrade of either WP or Postie, Postie handled all the blog entry stuff (putting the picture in a folder, creating the thumbnail for the blog entry, all the necessary HTML, etc).

    Now what is happening is that Postie is getting the email with picture attached and adding it to the WP media library. The WP media library creates a blog entry with the image and text encapsulated in a table (WHICH I COMPLETELY DO NOT WANT!!! NO DAMN TABLES!!) and then Postie tags on it’s own coding for the same image and text to the same entry.

    Is there anyway to let Postie add images to the media library WITHOUT WP making a blog entry? I’d like to have Postie handle all the entry work so that I can control & customize without a damn table.

    (A table? Really? What genius that that was a great idea? Total FAIL!)
