Anyway i could use this without the Imagick routines? I just migrated from another webhost and the Imagick extension on this new host (3.7 with ImageMagick 6.9.10-68 Q16 x86_64 2021-10-1) although it is the latest PECL does not use the latest base Imagick code.. so this means that .webp is not supported on that. An alternative engine would help.. for cases like mine..

    .. any solution?

    Hi,

just switch library in plugin settings – use GD.

If your hosting doesn’t provide even GD WebP support, then you simply can not use WebP, or you need to switch to a different host…

There are also paid plugins that offer you processing of your images on their own servers, so then there are no local dependencies for your hosting.

    You know what…

my hoster activated the GD library on the last few hours. Somehow they are reluctant in using the latest Imagick base code (version 7). Thanks for replying.. i guess it works now (it always did.. just not with me)

    Thanks..
